By accessing or using the Global Coherence Network (“GCN,” “the platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.

2. Description of Service

GCN is a community meditation tracking platform that allows users to log meditation sessions, set intentions, and visualize collective practice on a global map. The platform is designed for personal well-being and community connection. It is not a medical device and makes no health claims of any kind.

3. User Conduct

You agree to use the platform respectfully and in good faith. You will not:

• Misuse the service by submitting false, misleading, or harmful content.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the platform's operation.
• Use the platform for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the platform for unauthorized purposes.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, accuracy, or completeness of any data or content on the platform. Meditation practices and their effects vary from person to person, and we do not guarantee any specific outcomes from using GCN.

5. No Medical Claims

GCN is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The platform does not provide medical recommendations and should not be used to make decisions about your health or well-being. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information encountered on this platform.

6. Intellectual Property

The platform design, code, and branding are community property, built and maintained by volunteer contributors. User-generated content — including intentions, notes, and session data — belongs to the user who created it. By using the platform, you grant GCN a non-exclusive right to display your anonymized session data (such as map dots and aggregate statistics) for the purpose of operating the service.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GCN and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform. Because all data in Phase 1 is stored locally on your device, we cannot recover data that you delete or that is lost due to browser actions or device issues.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to the platform or applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
